Nikhil Kamath x NZ PM Christopher Luxon | People by WTF Ep #7

In our previous episodes, we’ve often spoken about the parallels between Business and Politics; be it risk taking abilities, micro vs macro zooming abilities, & most importantly, leadership.

In this episode, of ‘People by WTF’, we sit down with Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister of New Zealand, to talk about exactly that. We also talk about the challenges of public scrutiny, and how global dynamics translate in today’s world.

If the leaders of tomorrow come from unexpected, and more nuanced places, who should we be looking at next? Could entrepreneurs, artists, business minds be the future of politics?

I loved the part where he said one shouldn’t be measured by titles but defined by your relationships. That’s so spiritually beautiful 😻

I am an Indian immigrant living in NZ for over 10 years ... and I say, it is indeed a fantastic country to live in.... People here naturally respect and follow laws, culture is to give importance to human over materialism, good balanced life, safe country and trust me when I say this..'it is not laid back' ... There are several pockets who genuinely work hard and there is success, progress and potential here for people who get into the arena to make things happen for them!.. NZ❤

After Nandan Nilekani, this one is well executed and intellectually prosperous episode. Waiting for Indira Nooyi and more such episodes.

It's great to see a focused prime minister who is only interested in delivering the expectations of the New Zealand people and does not care about unnecessary things. I wish Indian politicians would learn from him

18:00 Having lived in NZ for more than 7 years, I can confirm yes most western countries have laws like that and political parties do circumvent them but not in New Zealand. Although the laws are strict there, it’s the people who just do the right thing themselves. Pure kiwi ingenuity!

How can a 25-year-old viewer watching this become the next Nikhil? Please create a 'WTF' episode on the stock market—both in India and globally—and what it really takes to trade like Nikhil. We would love to see Nikhil do a 'WTF is Nikhil' episode. He always dives deep into the lives of his guests, asking about their childhood, how they grew up, and every little detail—We want to get to know Nikhil the way he makes his guests open up and share their stories. Thank you, WTF team, for all the amazing content. Truly appreciate the work you're doing.

Thank you so much for this. I instantly had an intuition to click on this specific video and watch, because New Zealand is a beautiful country. I really needed to watch this. I did not exactly have ideal/healthy men in my family growing up. This still bothers me in life, whenever I meet them, seeing NZ PM and getting to know his life, really is a refresher. Utterly inspiring! He’s an entire green forest 😅 faith in boomer generation men restored! Haha
