People here naturally respect and follow laws, culture is to give importance to human over materialism, good balanced life, safe country and trust me when I say this..'it is not laid back' ... 18:00 Having lived in NZ for more than 7 years, I can confirm yes most western countries have laws like that and political parties do circumvent them but not in New Zealand. Although the laws are strict there, it’s the people who just do the right thing themselves. Pure kiwi ingenuity!
