Call and Put options to put it very simply - are timed bets. Call options are betting the stock is going to go up and if it does profiting the difference. Put options are simply the opposite betting the stock will go down and same thing profiting off the difference.

I’ve been teaching myself options since last September and I don’t really understand the Greeks too much but I am teaching myself options for the most part
