Atleast they are using REAL INSTRUMENTS as reference than electric distortion which are called music nowadays.

What gets me, more even than the cello, is the traffic going by. I am on ground level, near a street with my window to my left. I was annoyed that so many cars went by right as she started. It never even occurred to me that they were on the recording until about my third listen. Anyway, sounds fabulous on my LCD-4 and I can probably never listen to another cello recording ever again. Good thing I'm not a classical music buff! :)

i don't see a binaural microphone in the recording. Only a Sennheiser MKH 416 and a studio microphone I can't identify.
