6.2 Generating Functions Part 2

In this video, we start to apply generating functions to find the expected value and variance of distributions we already know. We then introduce the geometric distribution with an example involving random digits, and then use generating functions to determine its mean and variance.

We end by considering a few important exercises on the geometric distribution.
