Re: The Mafia Kick. In a local Australian fed, we had a guy with a martial arts gimmick called BJ Blade who used the Yakuza Kick. Whenever the announcers would call it, however, either he or one of his associates would correct them, and the move would be RE-announced as 'The Legitimate Business Kick'.
It was a bit that never failed to get a laugh out of me no matter how often they did it.

On an interview, Jake said he read a headline saying, “DDT Kills” and he liked it, and went with that name.

"What does 'DDT' stand for, Jake?"

"'The End.'"

I heard that DDT stood for “Damiens Dinner Time.” Which would make sense when after hitting the DDT then the pin, he would put Damien on the body of his opponent.
But also the insecticide name could make sense too. He saw it and he liked it.

My gimmick would be an international grappler with moves from all over the world: the European uppercut, Russian leg sweep, Mongolian chop, Japanese arm drag, Argentine backbreaker, Indian deathlock, Texas cloverleaf, French tickler, and my finisher is the Canadian destroyer!

I always wondered why AJ Styles move was called the "Pay Lay" Kick. It wasn't until recently that I realized it's actually the 'Pele' Kick named after the great Pele's bicycle kick goal.

As a kid I remember Jake saying ddt stood for damiens dinner time, so until I was old enough to learn about ddt and that actual inspiration for the moves name, I always went with jakes definition.

As an Irishman I personally love the fact that Balor named that move the 1916. I don't find him reductive at all and you pronounced both Danno and O'Mahony completely wrong.

Hey, as awesome as Owen Hart is, I think Bad News Brown really deserves credit for introducing the enzugiri to WWF audiences.

I don’t care what any video is about, as long as Jules gets a few seconds to say “go get it” or “treat yourself right” or whatever.
Well that stuff warms my tum tum.
Thank you Jules. I needed that today

Yeahhhh... Wrong Bloody Sunday.

The one you were looking for took place in Croke Park, Dublin in 1920.

I remember the first IWW show, the IWF supplied the ring and crew for the day, plus a wrestler or two, what what trip that was! Met some legends on that day!

There's also Bloody Sunday 1920 in Ireland, when 15 undercover British agents were assinated by the IRA and in a reprisal the British RIC killed 14 civilians at a football game.

Language & Wrestling, two of my favorites. It's why I love Balor's 1916. That ZSJ one is new to me though. Nice research
