If they wanted to do a bunch of goofy designs, why wouldn’t they just make a different cod? Like the game is called “Modern Warfare” and is advertised as a game that takes place in the modern era with characters wearing uniforms and equipment to match the era. Cosmetics like this are more fitting for Bo3/Bo4/Infinite Warfare/Advanced Warfare because those games are set in the future, so it gives a lot more room for creativity for cosmetics. To me, it definitely feels like they are just using the reputation of the games name to garner more attention and then they do whatever they want. It’s clear to me now that after my 10+ years of support for Sledgehammer and Activision, I am no longer the targeted demographic.

while i dont preach about mil-sim skins, the sci-fi futuristic skins is getting annoying now. they need to do contemporary skins while keeping the operators recognisable, these over the top skins do the exact opposite and that turns people off from paying for skins
