I got my crawlspace encapsulated in January with a drainage systems and 2 sump pumps and 2 dehumidifiers. Before it was so nasty, now going down there is pleasant. It costs a ton of money but definitely worth it. I felt bad for the guys doing the work. No way I could do that, and every day!

I’ll tell you as an inside expert.. that encapsulation is between $20, 000-$35, 000 with the intellijacks and everything. If they had drainage and a sump pump under the liner.. add another $10, 000. No one ever expects to pay the price of a new car OUT OF POCKET on any given day, definitely have some sort of idea of how to pay for this much needed work either with a mortgage and you put the value right back into the home, or with one of our payment plans.

Question at 1:07 into the video. Tyvek is spun olefin. It’s the same material as plastic soda bottles.
a durable, lightweight, and water-resistant fabric made from spun-bonded polyethylene,

I recently did some work under my crawl space and being in that position basically lying down can get exhausting after a couple hours

That is truly a “crawl” space. I have a crawlspace in one of my rental properties, but has about 38”to 45” of clearance so it is not totally constricted. Had it encapsulated last year.

Entertaining. Mike Rowe always does and excellent job. What is the typical cost for this type of work in the SF Bay Area? My floors are straight but they bounce because the floor joyces are at 48" centers (cheap late 1970s construction)

Working in spaces like that takes mental fortitude. Those tunnel rats in Vietnam are some bad M - - - - - R Fu - - - - S !!!

I'm curious how the ownership is structured. I would bet it's more of a profit sharing deal than true ownership. Either way I like when companies do that for employees

Yall need to invest in some coverals.
I would have two or three for each day. Them tyvec suits are not holding up.
I have one coverall that i sealed up all the pockets and added straps to the arms to make it sealed up.
When i am done.. it gets banged out. Air dry if needed, banged again and then washed.
