3D Image Interaction and Segmentation Using Kinect

Here, we present a 3D image interaction system and an image segmentation process based on 3D interaction utilizing spatially free-form motion/gesture through the Kinect sensor. Moreover, we utilize the audio input and recognition to control the HCI process and the segmentation flow. Our 3D interactive image segmentation is evaluated on real medical data, and is compared against the mouse-based approach. Within the same time frame, our system is able to generate more accurate segmentation results.
