Big Ben is in the top 3 quarterbacks of the modern era. He did what no other could with a and survived a rookie illiterate coach on offense (Tomlin). Ben compensated so so much for the lack of coaching on offense and for the lack of organization on offense. Then Ben had to suffer through playing with some JOURNEYMEN teammates like his receivers and O-LINE for most of his career. ( ** Big Ben even thrived thru the last real violence-era with them huge crushing defenders driving the QBs into the ground.... before the rules changed recently to be extra soft and safe and wimpy**)
Big Ben is still the only QB strong enough to shrug off all them potential QB sacks and shed those big defenders off of him.
And his powerful abilities & elusiveness from sacks also regularly gave his below average receivers and extra 3or 4 or even five seconds to get open.
So big Ben is one of the BEST EVER considering the handicapped situations he overcame in Pittsburgh.
