Sea otter bites and steals surfboards in California

As surfers are trying to catch waves off the coast of Santa Cruz, California, they are facing an unlikely adversary, a sea otter. The 5-year-old otter, also known as Otter 841, has been stalking surfers and biting their surfboards. NBC News' Ellison Barber has more.

I’m starting to believe that the sea animals are getting sick of us. Whales attacking boat and sharks biting people in the east coast. Now, sea otters attacking surfers. We must start to recognize that what we call the beach. They call it home.
