RIP OFF!! Wal-Mart Extended Warrantee Protection Plans

The first edition of the Rip Off Show. In this series I am going to give my opinion about products and services that may or may not be a rip off. I decided to use the Walmart protection plans for Laptop computers for my first episode because of my personal experience with them. These warranties are ripe with legal terms and language that are intended to make it impossible to claim if they decide not to pay you. Arbitration is one of the key components to the rip off.

I had bought a 60” smart tv (7/18/29) they sold me the warranty telling me if say if I was moving and the screen got broke they would cover it and I could get a new one. Well I was moving things around to paint the room (10/27/20) and something hit and shattered the corner of the tv. Called Allstate (the protection plan insurance company) they told they do not cover accidental breakage on TVs. They did reimburse the full price of the protection plan. But I had to buy a new one, when I was asked if I wanted the warranty. I told the cashier why I didn’t want it and he was surprised because he was told that would be covered.

Recently my air condition window unit broke down after just one year and I got the extended warranty for it. I'll be having to take it back and I hope I don't get a big hassle over it.

I buy them for everything I can. I have yet to have a problem with them. That sucks that you're having problems with them.

I bought a pair of ifrogz wireless earbuds from walmart and had problems from the start. The buds were very picky with what cable they were going to be charged and one side had stopped producing audio.i had onwed them for 4 months now
I bought the two year warranty plan and made a claim on them and walmart says that i should talk to the original manufacturer. I found out that they have no coverage on these and the nearest warranty center was 5 hours away. So i went with the other plan to text the qr code and get a link to download soluto. Turns out soluto doesnt exist and the messages never worked. I go to walmart to see customer service and they told me the same things that the pamphlet said and sent me off. Next time im going to the livit store near my house. At least they complete their warranty.

I can tell you first hand . None of those arbitration clauses hold up. There is no such thing as, protecting yourself against a law suit, of any kind. I do t care what the document language is.

Asurion took away USER/Password. Self help Customer Profile. In other words if you bought items that you already scanned or send photo of the receipt of the item you purchase it inside any Walmart STORE. Well this year all the information from 2015, 2016 and 2017 all gone they deleted all the information you provided so that they won't pay or repair anything you bought before December 31, 2017 yes total rip off. That's why they deleted all old customers profile to erase information you provided now you have to login with your phone them they will send a pin to your phone to view information of 2018 only anything before that they deleted all information you previously provided.

YUP I GOT RIPPED OFF I SENT MY DRONE AND BATTERY CHARGER AND MEMORY CARD THEY DESTROYED EVERYTHING INCLUDING MY PERSONAL CHARGER AND MEMORY CARD AND REFUSE TO REPLACE OR RE IMBURSE

Dood for $40 I got a refund for $150 for my 2 year old phone I paid 40 again and did it twice
