This video has completely changed my perspective on inclusions. I always saw them as flaws, but now, I appreciate them so much more for what they tell you and see they can actually make the stone much more desirable and beautiful. Thank you!!

Such a condensed lecture. I'm a gemologist and totally agree this will be very useful for people trying to get their feet under the table on gemstones.

Thank you for this! What an education! I dug for garnets in Idaho in 2019. TOUGH tough work. Hessonite, looks like whiskey and water mixed together. LOL

Love this so much! Wish you all would make this a series and cover other species! I’m interested in feldspar, specifically labradorite! So beautiful.

Awesome thank you for being so clear on what is what with these gemstones! I am a complete newbie, which will become more obvious as I open my mouth, I'm sure. So apologies in advance! The information can be varied, depending on the source, I'm discovering! So thank you for this instruction that holds to consistent standards. You have taught me more in the course of this video than I was able to glean from multiple books! Also it was great to hear the names of stones and their variations pronounced correctly. As I have only been learning from books up to this point, and I have discovered that pronouncing these mineral names does not come naturally to me! Lol! Certainly, without doubt, you have saved me from ridicule, going forward. I can just imagine the embarrassment I would have faced, if I had referred to a cabochon as a caw-bo-chawn!! I shudder! So thank you, sincerely!
