Why does the shot clock not always stop when the shot goes through? On number 9, they let the clock run down all the way to 0.0 even after the ball went through.

Yes, but they have separated each of them into 3 groups to give credit to more people.
1.) Clutch Shot (A chance to save the team from losing in the fourth quarter or overtime.)
2.) Buzzer Beater (Any quarter.)
3.) Long distance shot (Any quarter.)

that game the thunder played against the jazz when KD had 50, russell westbrook had 40 and serge ibaka had a triple double and they won in overtime was amazing.

Actually, I was a Jeremy Lin fan BEFORE the Knicks and when he came on the Knicks I was ecstatic. Also, he made a game winner that was worthy of being on the top 10 game winners in the 2011-2012 season. People went crazy when that shot was made, considering that (if you even watched the game) he had an amazing 4th quarter. It's not the team that matters, it's the PLAYER. Ok, he made a game winner against the Miami Heat. Sure, because making a shot on Mario Chalmers would've been great.

Notice that every single one of those players you mentioned were all star players that were basically expected to take the last shot....Not Lin....if Dwight Howard did the same thing it would be even more epic...Not to mention i watched that game...That man was unexpectedly putting up great numbers and finished with that. It was quite amazing considering everything that was going into it. Thats why it was one of the best buzzer beating moments this year.
