The cinematic visuals features Taves and his love interest coming together, yet drifting apart. Filmed in the city of Ibadan, Taves reminisces on the love he's lost. The track also serves as a tribute to his community, and the place where he first crafted his musical passion and experienced his first romance. 'Eleyele' indicates what's to come from Taves who infuses his neo soul style with the familiar afrobeat sound.

Born Aluko Toluwanimi, Taves' love of music was first nurtured via his long road trips with his father, where he first discovered the dulcet tones of the Nigerian soul singer Asa, which highlighted another dimension to the African sound.

The 20 year old Lagos native was first discovered by Nigerian artist BNXN fka Buju who came across the young star's cover of his track ' For Days', impressed with his distinct vocals BNXN saw great potential and began to mentor him on his musical journey.

In 2023 Taves inked a major deal with Atlantic records via TYE, spanning across the UK and Africa ,ensuring Taves goes from strength to strength.

Today (16/07/2024) was a great day. I discovered the music video of this beautiful song here this morning after marking one year anniversary of the song's discovery two days ago. I will share what I wrote to mark the anniversary. It goes thus: "Today (14/07/2024) marks one year since I discovered this song, Eleyele by Taves. I was in the car in the afternoon coming back from an exam hall in UI going to pick up my kid brother and this beautiful tune blared from the car's radio (Beats FM). Eleyele is a place in Ibadan. I discovered this song when I was at Samonda, another place in Ibadan."
