AMD never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity, again. I'm not holding my breath.

$2500 for a 5090 is insanity. I usually buy the top end card but they can keep the 5090 for that price. That's absurd.

I’m rocking an RX6600. Good, solid performance. Reliable, great card for 1080P.

"Could AMD RDNA 4 catch Nvidia by Surprise?" No.

🤑 $1, 500 is an extremely low estimate for a 5090. Try $2500 at launch given Nvidi's history.

Title should indicate its a podcast section.

We need to see price / performance / power consumption ratios. GPUs aren't selling well because their price to performance ratio just isn't there. However, performance is very tightly tied to how well a game is optimised. You need good software to drive the hardware, it applies to everything, not just games. Brute forcing through everything like Intel has been doing is eventually going to hit the "laws of physics" as it were...

Does Nvidia even care for consumer GPU? They are making 10x more money on data center GPU they don't need to try harrd maintain market share on consumer side

a 500 dollar 4070 ti in ray tracing and 4080 lv in raster. AMD might dominate mid range

So "Cut Down Yields" are sections from podcasts?

If AMD can get new GPUs out early and marketing is replaced by something professional, it's a win for all. I still hope Intel gets in to the mix with something great to make it competitive, playing in the hands of us paying their yachts! Thanks M8 for a nice video again!

For me it it really depends on the performance of 8800 XT, even more so than the price. If it is better in performance than a 7900 XT while costing less that makes me consider it for an upgrade. That level for $500 would be good. But if it can get close to 4080, now we are really talking. Thumbs up.

AMD never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity, much like I never miss an opportunity to brainlessly repeat the same phrases in the youtube comments section as everyone else.

7900 XTX has the highest % on steam hardware survey, in fact it's the only 7000 series card on there. Mid range is fine and all, but there is a market for high end AMD gpus.

There is no sneak attack by RDNA4. 8800XT will be 7800XT with “better eFfiCieNcy” and slightly better ray tracing at €749 because they love shooting themselves in the foot.

I think it's a good idea to publish snippets like this from your longer conversations. Sometimes I don't find the time to watch the full length video. I know that I can use the timestamps, but even that is sometimes too much "work".

With features like AFMF2 if they can improve that as they have it blows away 4060s/4070s on mid range GPUs

Not having Lisa dressed as a WW2 Japanese naval pilot was a missed opportunity.
