Biden calls on Congress to pass stimulus as economic recovery slows

President-elect Joe Biden is calling on Congress to quickly pass another round of pandemic aid to the country. CBS News' Natalie Brand spoke to CBSN's Tanya Rivero about how the Biden transition team is preparing for their administration and trying to push policy from the outside.

We need direct stimulus checks! Any stimulus package that doesn't include that is completely unacceptable!

The stimulus of $1200 needs to be included. Cause everyone does not get unemployment benefits or even rental assistance all don't qualify. And some jobs are shutting back down and slow working people not making enough. Child care not available cause some can't work or can't afford that either. Food needed cause all can't get SNAP benefits either so that extra CASH💰will be a BLESSINGS❗🙏

Keep this in mind people from Kentucky and the republican party: Mitch is the one not approving a bill that will give a stimulus check or protections to the American people who can't work, Pelosi spent all this months negotiating but she only got less than half of what we need. Whether you like her or not she's the one that tried her best to keep food on your table and a roof over your head, always remember that.

Thank You Biden at least you understand that the people are hurting yes I guess there has been some company’s hiring but not that many and in what states I know that we in the north east are having it kinda hard electricity has gone up groceries have gone up my rent went up just trying to keep up with everything with nothing left sometimes I have to wait on my meds cause if I don’t pay rent I’ll loose my home if my electricity bill is still more than I can afford at this time this is really a nightmare if we were only told the truth in the beginning I think that we might have done something different but only one stimulus is wrong for I have seen a lot of homeless people and it breaks my heart no job no income going to a pantry for food I have helped out with our pantry with food we the people really do need help
