I was an arrogant noob (Google Dunning–Kruger effect to learn WHY!) and I did not know about DC-Offset which in this specific case was created by a mistake in the WAV/WSS converter. There was never a DC offset in BI's source files!

I could slap myself for saying "they didn't think of that", damn you Danning Kruger! :D

DC offset is most easily fixed by applying an EQ to the signal, LOWCUT or HIGHPASS at the lowest possible frequency (most EQs are at 20Hz) in your EQ - signal is centered again - no pop.

Why? Because the DC offset is like a frequency of 0, it does not move. So a LOW CUT which cuts LOW frequencies will cut 0Hz. :) And honestly, there is not much going on below 20Hz, so cut that sucker out.
