Yellow by Coldplay (high resolution/4K audio)

The fifth track from Coldplay album Parachutes, which was also released as a single

Lyrics:
Oh no I see
A spider web it's tangled up with me
And I lost my head
And thought of all the stupid things I said
Oh no what's this
A spider web and I'm caught in the middle
So I turned to run
The thought of all the stupid things I've done
And I never meant to cause you trouble
And and I never meant to do you wrong
And ah well if I ever caused you trouble
Oh no I never meant to do you harm
Oh no I see
A spider web and it's me in the middle
So I twist and turn
Here am I in my little bubble
Singing out
I never meant to cause you trouble
And I never meant to do you wrong
And ah well if I ever caused you trouble
And oh no I never meant to do you harm
They spun a web for me
They spun a web for me
They spun a web for me

When I was pregnant with my son, I would play this song while driving and cry, and think of how beautiful he was going to be. He’s 14 years old now and still every time I hear it, I cry, remembering.

I love Coldplay. I can honestly say this song saved my life... While I was dealing with severe depression I heard this song for the first time and after hearing the first verse; "Look at the stars, look how they shine for you." I thought 'Why would they shine for me?' and then it just kinda dawned on me. So thank you Coldplay, for making me realize I'm worth something.

I want to sing this when I'm finally falling in love with someone who's worthy of owning this song in my heart.

This song will always remind me of those innocent times in high school with the best people I've ever met. We were all so alive then.

I like how this song is so delicate-sounding and warm. it kind of makes my heart melt, but in a way that doesn't pain me or make me cry.

As my grandmother passed today, 4/6/2013 and great grandmother a decade ago...I sit here as I did when I was 9 mourning and continue to mourn. Knowingly accepting my loss in which isn't really a loss, for we all eventually come to an end, and it's not how we passed away, but really how we enjoyed life as we were blessed to enjoy it.

Last year my friend passed away from suicide, this song reminds me of her, she had the most beautiful soul, her funeral was filled with so many unfamiliar faces and it touched me so deeply to see how many lives she touched, just by her endless presence. I'd do anything to see her again, even just for a moment, I'd hug and tell her how loved she is and always will be.💛

This song brings to me such a flood of nostalgia. I was at a boarding school where the wake-up call used to be this CD that had this song on it. I was sick and tired of all the other songs after having to hear them every morning but used to always look forward to this song. Whenever this song used to play, my room-mates and I used to always sing our lungs out and it was such a wonderful feeling to see the sun rise from within the valley mountains and jam to this song with some of the most amazing people that I've had the pleasure to be with. Every-time I hear this song, I get transported virtually to those innocent, spirited times of school when everything was so simple and everyone was so happy and life was as perfect as you could expect it to be <3

The first 5 seconds of this song is the most beautiful guitar recording I've ever heard.

Some of their songs have such a sad “feel” to them yet they’re beautiful at the same time

Every time I hear this song...I tear up if not cry...It reminds me of when I was a baby and my family was happy. Now, everyone is splitting apart and everyone is depressed....At least I have this song to remind me of the good times..

Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah they were all yellow
I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow
So then I took my turn
Oh what a thing to have done
And it was all yellow
Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
You know you know I love you so
You know I love you so
I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh what a thing to do
'Cause you were all yellow
I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
And it was all yellow
