The inner rail is really important. It’s not just to hold them closer. It’s to protect their fingers if you brush past something and scrape along it like a tree branch. They’re supposed to hold the inner rail and the outer rail takes any hits so their fingers don’t get damaged

I just bought one these about 3 months ago and the more I ride it the better I like it. I live in a beach community with a flat terrain so I rarely take it out of the "0" assist mode. I must say the ride can be a bit rough with no shock suspension but since I mostly ride on smooth surfaces it's not that big of deal. I will admit that after about a half hour the stock seat gets to be a bit hard and uncomfortable for me and will probably upgrade soon. I love the running boards because it gives me a place to haul my beach chairs, one on each side. I just use bungee straps to secure them. This is my first e-bike so I'm learning some things the hard way. I must pay close attention to make sure that I stay in zero assist mode otherwise it acts like a cruise control on a car. I ran into a parked trailer when I first got it as I slowing to going into a turn. I was unaware and didn't realize it was in "1" on the assist mode.

I have one of these. Have a problem with the battery charger and haven't gotten help from customer service!

Really good video, it’s appreciated. I hate watching a 30 minute video for 5 minutes worth of content

Hi I'm an avid rider and the radwagon is the next bike I'll be adding the my stable for both the child friendliness and the ability for it to become a tool to generate extra income for my family.
You mentioned the saddle was an issue just by looking at the short clip of your seat angle I can tell you're probably getting a little numb after longer rides, you should aim to have your weight on your sit bones. This could be achieved by changing the angle so the front of the saddle is not higher than the rear.

Hi Ben! I am considering buying this bike, I am just wondering how stable the bike is with kids on the back and an adult not on? On my regular mountain bike, my bike tipped the other day with a back-heavy seat, and we both fell. ( I was on the bike on a hill, but put my feet down for a sec) Thankfully, she's okay, but it could have been bad. Can you place kids in the seat and not have to worry about it tipping, and the same when riding? This is what I am looking for in a set-up. Thank you!

@authentech --> My kids are roughly the same as your kids in this video. My question: Should I even bother with buying the running boards at this point? I have to think my kids feet won't come close to touching them!

i agree. the seat was discouraging, especially for a bike that costs this much, they could have included a shorted version of a moped type seat. also, the lack of security features on the bike is worrisome. these ebikes are top targets in cities for theft. what security measures does radbikes have in place for theft prevention? i assume there are some considering the high cost of the bike.

Mine's been great except for when the controller stopped working three weeks into owning it and RadBikes took three months to replace it. The bikes are affordable but the quality is dubious and in the E.U. the customer service is overwhelmed and rather terrible. As long as you don't have any problems, you'll be fine!

Yeah seemed like a great bike until all the known defects showed up including the tire recall. After the tires were replaced by someone sent out by Rad, apparently installed incorrectly which led to the tannus armour getting wrinkled which rubbed a hole into the inner tube just a couple months later and caused a massive blow out while riding home with my son. We both got scraped up and I broke my wrist. Tannus was far more helpful than Rad, they supplied replacement tires and inner tubes of the correct size size. After installing myself I haven't had a problem.
Nevermind the known controller issue that is still got the same issue in any replacement Rad sends. So definitely need to order separately powered lights.

I note you don’t show how do load up your kids on it?
