Alex Murdaugh Defense Says Controversial Court Clerk Tainted Jury to Sell Books

In a status hearing to prepare for a lengthy upcoming evidentiary hearing, Alex Murdaugh’s defense team told the judge that the controversial Clerk of Court, better known as Miss Becky, purposefully tainted the jury so she could sell more of her books she was writing about the case. “She was told a guilty verdict would be good for the book — that’s motive!” Dick Harpootlian explained in court. The defense has requested that a new trial be granted for Murdaugh, who was convicted of killing his wife and son, due to alleged misconduct among Miss Becky and several jurors.

If at the time for a guilty verdict, that was planned from the beginning ....

He pleaded guilty to the financial crimes in order to look good and be released on good behavior after some Time served.

After the murder trial, AM's lawyers went to each jury member's home and knocked on their door to see if they were sure .The lawyers themselves said this in a press conference said that some people slammed the door in their faces ...and 2 said they were influenced after the lawyers asked and again.

why is this allowed ....they could just as easily have been threatened or promised money
