Lot of people in this video who can't seem to understand the difference between comments that target an individual and comments that target an entire race.

First of all, Kaepernick refused to stand for a song in an effort to bring attention to an issue and promote equality when he saw injustice. Roseanne, on the other hand, belittled and dehumanized an entire group of people based solely on their race. I’m not sure what wavelength you have to be on to see similarities between these two situations, but I’m not buying it.

Rahul 2:49- ABC spent millions putting together a great show (ABC's No. 1 show) because "they were looking for a reason to cancel it in the first place..." Really dude? Seriously?

Bill Maher is on HBO and Roseanne WAS on ABC (Disney) . The former is adult content and the latter is Family oriented. Disney wants to protect its brand even if it means cancelling a highly rated show.

BTW Bill Maher did get into trouble for using the N-word, so that whole argument is invalid.

Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences when exercising that freedom.

When freedom of speech is the topic of issue, this old quote always come back to me: "You can't say the word 'fire' in the movie theater." You can say whatever you want to, but there are certain places or certain times where you can't say whatever you want to or certain things. There are time and place for that.

What’s awesome here is that we were able to hear comments from both sides. Although I did not necessarily agree with what Rahul and Maddison were saying, it’s important that we can listen to each other and have true discussions.
