Correction on the robotics that are moving the car parts, they are using air suction(you can see the suction cups) to pick up and handle the parts, just like the ones being used to install the windows front/back, they are not being picked up with magnets. Almost no one would use a magnetic chuck on a lathe. It would be way too dangerous. I have never seen one and I've been around lathes for years. It's possible they exist for the lathe, could you possibly get into more detail? Magnetic chucks are typically used on surface, and sometimes OD grinders.
