Does it make sense to ask about costs in general? As for example if you have kubernetes behind, asking at first, if a kubernetes gateway will do the job with less costs (or ingress controller, or istio)?

How do we restrict access to this target endpoint directly on gcp so that it is only accessible theough api porxy ?
