This is the video that the "If it's not a Panigale V4, I don't want it" crowd should watch. Brilliant.

I've been watching you since WSS so how was the MV and do you think the 800 would be competitive in MA? Someone should be riding 1 in MA.

Pretty fearsome transition from right to left seems to suit the bike. Smoking the tire coming off the turn thank the maker it’s a Desmo. Pity you can’t crack off a few laps on the V four for your fans.

PJ, genuine question:
Any idea what makes a bigger difference in lowering steering input effort when it comes to the difference in tire side profile steepness vs rims with lower rotational weight? If you don't have an answer that's fine, it's just something that I've always wondered about and I'm not at a skill level yet to be able to properly notice a difference at speed.

All the talk of firing intervals and crankshaft design to mitigate inertial torque in 4-cylinder engines goes right in the bin when you analyze the humble cross-plane twin. V or parallel, the cross-plane twin has firing intervals of 270 to 300 (my fav is 285) and 450 to 420 (my fav 435), respectively. Two big, easy-to-feel pulses and no inertial torque issues. They'd be competitive again if MotoGP didn't gimp engine design with the 81mm bore and single crankshaft crap.

112mm bore, 50mm stroke, 5 valves per cylinder twin spinning just as high as the 4-bangers would be amazing.
