The OG is still the best, 1984/85 Goji got me into Godzilla, Shin got the awesome power breath sans the Giger splitting jaws and tail, Legendery has the best iteration yet, 2019s KotM

Pretty spot on, actually. A lot of people will argue that Burning Godzilla is the strongest form, it's usually either a swan song and unstable. We saw that in Godzilla versus Destroyah, and even Legendary Godzilla only managed to achieve this form very temporarily with outside help. This assumes Godzilla has a very long lifespan, but it isn't infinite, eventually reaching an apex at which they pass on their power onto the next. Legendary seemingly breaks this, as Godzilla and his species seemingly could go for VERY long periods of inactivity and were effectively immortal. My guess is specifically to avoid Burning Godzilla form and scarcity of young in which to pass on the energy.

Godzilla Earth is basically what happens when Godzilla has surpassed the weakness of Burning Godzilla form. This could be due to subsequent 'Burning' forms, and an eventual tolerant form that didn't go Nova, and just continued to age and grow. Or maybe it just was a genetic aberrant that simply didn't have the flaw to begin with, although given it is 'awakened', my guess is that it bypassed the flaw similarly to how Legendary Godzilla. Namely long periods of sleep, and perhaps the giant monsters act as parasites that siphon off excess energy. It's very unlikely that Shin and Ultima would have the combat experience to be able to coordinate and counter (they were more akin to beasts who reacted than normal Godzilla). Mecha Godzilla only 'won' in it's movie at first due to Godzilla being exhausted from it's fight against Kong, and also is only as capable as it's controller or AI at the time. Leaving Legendary as the only real threat....and even it's Burning Form did little other than to knock the wind out of Godzilla Earth.

Basically, to quote Android 16 "Never stood a chance."
