AMAZING MOTOR!! Vintage Manual Otis Freight Traction Elevator #1

(1-5-21) This is one of three amazing Otis freight elevators on this property! This is the smallest of the three, but has one of the most epic sounding motors I have ever heard! This elevator is manually controlled and has only partial automatic doors.

That wad the loudest motor i have ever heard. Wow

Works dandy, power doors on the landings I figured it was 2:1 when I saw it moving slowly before I saw the sheaves on the counterweight and knew one was on top of the cab. I've seen this type of roping before with older fright elevators. Was a smaller cab installed in a 5-10-15 cent store in the 1930's geared, 2:1 four landings. Removed in 2001.

That’s amazing! I love the epic motor and the vintage feel it has! Cool the outer doors are automatic. Also, I like the little light “indicator” on the outside!

That's the same motor as a manual Otis freight near-me. It has that same car-switch too, so makes sense. Seems to also be the same slow speed. Probably the same model.

Don’t modernize this beauty but do wish both the gate and the door where automatic
