Remembering playing continuously on my turntable growing up. The good old days. Still love this tune today.

One of the best albums ever that still holds it own against anything since. Thanks for posting and God bless Vargas.

This song is a masterpiece from the writing of the words and music to the mix and production. Nothing will ever match the pure talent and chemistry of these 5 musical geniuses. I’m honored to have grown up listening to them.

The Cars are another unappreciative band. They were way beyond their time. Such a pure energetic band. One of my top favorite bands ever.

The first time I heard the cars was at age 11 in my mom's station wagon, and she just the bought the 8 track tape of Candy O. What a simple time in my life, but Kids today, my son included, would not understand how my Generation survived without the internet, smart phones, and wireless headphones! Lol but the cars will always have a place in my heart, this album was the soundtrack of my summer in 81. Thanks Ric, and Ben for awesome, unique, and powerful music you guys left behind!

Easton’s distortion underneath the bright vocals and keyboards is just brilliant.

Such a great band. Debuted in the late 1970's. I love the Cars. They have a different, unique sound.

That album "hooked me" in 79. It sat on my turntable for 6 months. The 1st album was great but the 2nd album, "hooked me".

Candy-O is my favorite TheCars record, the entire l.p. front to back is my choice for a PERFECT ALBUM. It keeps going, no gaps, no waited crap time...All songs rock out beautifuly. Plus, connected double songs, therefore--Shit, what's not to like, over and over again!

Well crafted song with every members melodic element in the song.

....and yet another 15 second solo by Elliott that nukes the song into orbit. The musical talent in this band I would compare to any of all time as some of the best ever assembled. They played with so much authenticity and integrity. There music was so well crafted and the arrangements were so surprising, fresh and free spirited. Nothing before them sounded like they did. Moreover still today 40÷ years later the "Cars" sound is unmatched still. ❤
