Thanks for posting. It seems that this light stacks up really nicely against the Aputure one. It's also 4.5 times less expensive. This is what I would like to see more of in the camera equipment market.

Ah! Nice, it feels like it's been a while since I've seen some gear passing by here! Looks nice.

Although I'm really into Aputure these days. Looking to upgrade, thinking about a little studio set-up. The Aputure LightStorm LS C120t COB daylight balanced would be perfect I think, but the daylight balanced version isn't out yet...

Did see something new when I was browsing around on AliExpress, nothing light related though. They have the VS-5, a fieldmonitor. Looks legit, with SDI, waveforms, vectorscope and everything. I have the Lilliput 663/O/P2 which is quite feature rich itself, but it's too big and too clunky. The VS-5 is 7" as well. Bummer, as I would really appreciate a good and affordable 5" one. The BMD Video Assist does a fair job at recording, albeit not in 4K, but the monitoring features leave room for more. SmallHD is way expensive and doesn't even record, so I gotta just scratch that. The PIX-E5(H) is somewhat of the dream 5" monitor/recorder, but it's got a hefty price itself. Why isn't there more going on in the 5" range? Especially now everyone is using handheld gimbal stabilizers too... oh well, to get back to light.

Another thing I came across the other day is the Yongnuo YN-760. I think that might work well instead of the LS C120t COB that I was eyeballing so hard all this time. Though, with the Amaran and LightStom series by Aputure, you know it's solid stuff. With other brands, especially when they're even cheaper, I'm always a little skeptic.

Take it easy!
