1. Chaucerian stanza: iambic pentameter, 7 lines and ABABBC

2. Spensarian stanza: first 8 lines iambic pentameter and last in hexameter, total 9 lines, ABABBCBCC

3. Ottava rima: 8 lines, iambic pentameter and ABABABCC

4. Terza rima: 3 lines in each stanza connected via rhyme scheme.

5. Quatrin: 4 line stanza, used in ballads usually.

6. Heroic couplet: only two lines, AA rhyme scheme, separated by coma.
