Professor Brian M. Evans PhD FRTPI FLI FCSD FAcSS FRGS AoU, is a City Planner, Landscape Architect, Graphic Designer and Urbanist. He is professor of urbanism and landscape design at the Glasgow School of Art and Director of the Glasgow Urban Laboratory. From 2019-2023, he was City Urbanist for Glasgow, an independent civic role advising city leadership on people, design, and the city. For over 35 years, Brian practiced as a partner with Gillespies LLP, the international design practice; was Deputy Chair & Chair of Design Review with Architecture & Design Scotland, an Enabler with the Commission for Architecture, and the Built Environment (CABE) London.
