Is it possible to have only one deco and this one deco to connect as AP to my ISP router wirelessly?

Thanks for the video. Just a question, when changing the deco's to Router mode, did you make the SSID and Password the same as your original router/modem where you plug the deco into, or are they still 2 separate SSID's or did you disable the router one? Any recommendations for this in Router mode?

I have 4 tp-link m5's. Working great everywhere in my house and in the back of my garden (10 meters dept). But it is possible to control the deco network from your computer. You just need to have the IP address of the main deco and enter that in the browser, use your deco network password and your in. In most modems you will find a page with a oversight of all connected devices where you can find the ip of the main deco.

I still can`t understand what is the difference between router mode and access point. My main Deco is connected via cable to the service provider modem, so I understand the preferred setup would be access point? I still haven`t tested it this way, but currently with router mode set I'm disappointed with speed. We have two Deco M5 for a 500mb internet connection, the second one is like 20 meters apart from the main one and speed there is lower by 70%, don`t know what I'm doing wrong

Please tell me if I, having this deco m5 system, want to connect more than one, two, etc. devices via cable, through the main module, how to organize this? After all, the main deco m5 module has only 1 free ethernet port. Via switch?

Hi!! Does this Deco keeps the meshing feature while using in access point mode? Currently my topology is ISP Modem in bridge -> Mikrotik router -> Dlink router only as Wi-Fi (this router does not have AP mode, so have double source NAT to reach internet from my wireless internet network), and I’m planning to get a pack of 2 nodes of this Decos. Thank you!!!

I have a Mikrotik HAP AC2 router and pair of Deco M5 in access point mode (backhaul thru ethernet). I had no problems with this setup. I trust more my Mikrotik to route traffic.

I tried to put one of those here onboard. But the problem is, when one user log in to internet, other phone that connected to wifi router can access your internet. They will consume ur internet inshort.
We have limited data onboard. I hope u can help me. Thanks

Great video dude. I have a fleet of Deco M5's spread across my home.
Maybe my findings below might be off help to you and the rest;

1:30 -> Correcting this.

You're still able to logon to the Deco web-gui interface via web browser from your desktop/laptop. Follow normal procedures of finding the IP address of your main Deco (eg; 192.168.0.1)

Just note this;
> Functionalities are limited. For basic monitoring purposes its worth visiting.
> Features like "Reboot" is still enabled for browser access. You can even reboot all Deco's simultaneously.

Do you make an entire new wifi SSID name and password door AP mode? or did you use existing? Thanks

My deco is in the router mode. Even though it is connected to my previous internet. Whenever I try to switch to access point it doesn't give wifi? Do I need to set up a new network or am I missing something?

I only have the main mesh. I'm planning to use long lan cable maybe about 20 meters so that I can put the main mesh between the main router and my bed room. Is my set up good or it is not ok to use long cables for the extender... Thank you...

Hi. Im making it as access point. But does the main deco still need to be connected to the router via lan cable? Or i can place it anywhere? Thank you!

Does the first Deco need to be right next to your modem? Does setting it up as an Access Point is better than setting it up as Router?
