“Some are even accusing Wonhee of copying New Jeans Hyein’s foot injury” I laughed. How can people say that 💀

I agree with #1. This is why serious issues need to be left out of petty fanwars.

Despite so much protest and Complain about boycott they are still making their artist collaborate with those company. At this point it feels like they are doing it intentionally to piss people more like "yeah we are collaborating, what will you even do"

#1 is the same as the Charlie puth thing. Stray kids collaborated with Charlie puth and everyone went wild and refused to stream the stray kids version because Charlie puth had writing credits, but when Charlie puth literally writes a whole song for BabyMonster no one gives a shit..

1: It's frustrating and unfair when fans choose to pick and choose which idols to criticize without actually addressing the important issue at hand, which is the promotion and collaboration of the boycotted brands. However, I understand that sometimes these collaborations are not up to the idols as they don't have the power to refuse them. But if the idols are promoting the brand in a free and voluntary manner, then they should be held accountable and criticised for it. Unfortunately, some fans use this as an excuse to hate on specific idols without actually considering the larger message behind the boycott. It’s like fans choose to hate idols for doing this, but when their favs do it they become mute and silent. 🙄🙄

I personally don't want idols to associate with those brands, and criticism is totally valid, but people need to be realistic. These huge boycotted brands are the only ones who can afford to get a deal with these idols, which is most likely not even their choice. These deals are necessary to keep the group/artist and company going. I wish idols could just live off of making music, but this is not the world we live in right now. I know I personally will still not be consuming those brands even if my favorite artist has a deal with them. People need to stop using these as gotcha moments. This is not what we should be focusing on. If you're not comfortable being a fan of an idol anymore because of the boycotts or whatever other reason, it is completely okay to unstan. But going out there and screaming that these people are active genocide supporters is just wrong. We don't know them, and we most likely will never know what most of them think about this. You have to stop making them the center of attention; this is about human lives. You can criticize, that's absolutely fair, but you also need to do your part if you're going to be so focused on seeing who supports what based on only assumptions.

Always funny the moment someone praises Jungkook (Diana Ross) people get jealous and will think of something negative. If a kpop group has the same concept for every songs people say it's boring and need to change but Jungkook release and album get's a lot of praise for its different style while still being a complete album and good storyline but you call it dress up. And yes Jungkook always said he wanted to be an pop star and not just a kpopstar and boy did he succeed. He is the it pop boy right now, getting so much praise from outside his fandom. Release english songs that are so popular in South korea that everyones fav have sing or danced his songs. Releasing amazing english songs other kpop groups are trying to achieve but failing. Getting the fasted 1B streams in history because not only his fans listen everybody is. Getting praise from so many artist and producers both in Korea and in the west. He is not selling out, He is winning. And yes he is so talented, Just look at all the praise he is getting for his live preformance of standing next to you or his live seven encore. Loved and praised in South Korea and the west.

Honestly I think the boycott when it comes to Kpop is less about Israel than fans don't want to feel dirty supporting a idol group. I've gone through the same thing where as a Christian if I felt idols insulted Christianity, like Le Sserafim filming a MV inside a church I feel its not right to watch that music video. So I get its not just about not giving money to Israel but having permission to stan the group and its heartbreaking when a fan has to stop supporting a group they love because it goes against their morals, for example when Namjoon was accused of being Islamophobic for singing Bad Religion or something to do with that. So I have sympathy for those fans but ultimately I think the boycott is misguided because a lot of it is based on misinformation. Starbucks did nothing, Mcdonalds, one franchise in Israel did it, you have a right to be mad but calling it McDonalds financing a genocide is over-the-top. Same with Pepsi which I think the connection is they own Sodastream. The boycott and agonizing over the Gaza war via Kpop is ultimately not logical and simply harming yourself.

These artists are gonna collaborate with these famous major corporations because the companies priority is promoting their artists and companies like Mcdonalds & Starbucks are so well known also these artists also promote luxury fashion brands who are problematic but i don't see people getting mad at them for that. Can we please not get mad at idols for doing their job? The companies line up ads to help their artists get more exposure with the general public. People get mad at the groups when it's the company that is lining up these opportunities. The girls have to do what is set out in their contract which meams they have to do all of these extra activities like doing ads for major food brands like Mcdonalds.

1. Performative activism is seriously on rise. Especially from idiots filled in social

2. Even i had the same opinion why are wonhee and boemgyu even travelling. Like can't they just let them rest for 1-2 months to heal fully. I know that belift is going to do the same with Jay as well considering their upcoming comeback 🤦🤦

Idk why people see Jungkook becoming a popstar as a bad thing. His album may be generic (other then standing next to you) but he already took over the kpop genre and is probably the most popular idol ever so the only way for him to take his career to the next level is to do an album catered towards the west. I mean blackpink members have been making songs catered towards the west for years and are still doing it but no one criticizes them for it. Plus JK has a perfect popstar voice, it just makes sense. And I think one day whenever BTS disbands or just takes longer hiatuses to do more solo stuff, JK will be one of the biggest artists in the west

6. it’s not just txt. i noticed the same with aespa. the savage album was a work of art, it has passion, structure, and felt like it was worked on for a while. however, aramagedon album was so disappointing. none of these songs felt like they went together album wise. no matter how many times i’ve listened to the album i only like two songs. it just felt as if they just threw random songs together. then, the tour outfits look so rushed and put together/last minute. a hot mess. the concerts don’t have anything that makes you gag nothing. idk what’s happening in kpop lately it’s like everything is just a cash grab. loved the solos tho. karina’s up and giselles dopamine was an instant love.
edit- i’m a my ot4 by the way. love the girls to the moon.

JK had no plan to release music but Bang PD encouraged him to release Golden and the other songs around that time. He was presented with the music, he liked them and he released the album that we know.

He and V had some time trying to get their own songs approved to be released by BigHit and at the end it seems not one of them made the cut for their debut albums.

Some had pointed Hybe and BH might try to push Jk to be the soloist of his generation like Taemin and readed that album as the push in that direction for him.

He is one of the minds behind the lyrics of Magic Shop, I expected music like Still with you or Your eyes tell, never something like Golden but it seems and he was delivered on purpose to his producer for him to have a mega star to deliver his music.

3. I agree. It feels like a let down when you think about it being JUNGKOOK. THE JUNGKOOK, all rounder. I wish he had unique flair to his music while keeping it mainstream pop.
But I can't understand people putting Charlie Puth, Ed Sheeran, MJ, Bruno Mars with JUNGKOOK in the same line and calling them "generic and boring". The male artists have defined western pop with their era defining hits, and has become face of POP music made by male artist. You may dislike their music but putting them down is delusion, when they've made their mark in pop industry.
Jungkook should've added some kind of different twang to his album rather than making it knockoff music of the male artists I mentioned. But in a way, he's doing what he loves, but maybe Kpop fans expectations were sky high for his solo.

GOLDEN lacked emotion, inspiration and that's all.The songs were short and was obviously made for cashgrab. This is what differentiates GOLDEN to mainstream pop artist albums and that's why GOLDEN is "generic and boring". But why are kpop fans taking names of Charlie Puth, Ed Sheeran etc and calling them generic? Their albums are POP and has personal touch and feel unlike GOLDEN.

If only GOLDEN had better production, BRIDGE FOR EACH SONG, a little more inspiration, maybe some personal touch from JK, it would've been a top notch debut pop album from KPOP solo artist.
