Hi I had an ileostomy 27 years ago at the age of 32 and haven’t looked back. My husband and I adopted our son and went on to have two successful careers. So pleased you are providing this info for those who need it. Congrats.

great videos. I have crohns and lupus. I really want a stoma, but my gastroenterologist and colorectal surgeon are hesitant to do a stoma for me. They feel being that crohn's is an inflammatory illness, the area of surgery will become inflamed and cause more difficulties. :(

Today at this writing, I have been having a bad flare with severe intestinal pain and profuse diarrhoea. I had just taken the Pfizer/Biotech COVID vacine as I am in this group of those with comorbities in my case of course IBD Crohns. I am woundering if this vacine has trigerred this bad flare as I have been going to the bathroom on average of an hour to an hour and a half with diarrhoea that just won't quit! This along with bad gut pains. I feel low on energy and fatigued, been in bed most of the time. Now I do not know whether this is vacine related and when this diarrhoea will stop, hopefully soon. This is my first initial jab, as 1st of March (2021) will be scheduled my second dose. I am worried as I have this reaction now from the first dose, if this shall happen again but worse. Before the time of taking this COVID vacine, I was in remission. Should I see my IBD team and take infliximab, I don't know. Thanks
