Mandela Medley from our new album 'Symphonic Soweto - Tribute to Nelson Mandela' with the Soweto Gospel Choir.

This is a medley consisting of two freedom songs, dedicated to Nelson Mandela. The name ‘Rolihlahla’ (meaning “pulling the branch of a tree” or colloquially “troublemaker”) was the isiXhosa birth name given to Mandela. This powerful revolutionary song calls on the “troublemaker” to speak to the leadership of the African National Congress about the plight of the people, whilst at the same time criticizing the apartheid leadership. This composition portrays the troublemaker’s transition to the brave one and eventually the champion of human rights.

Thank you so much for watching!

My love for South African songs! God! Why do I love them so much! Southafricans what have you given or done to the world especially me. I now sing in Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho etc 😁😁. I like the culture! 😊😘 who will invite me to South Africa please!😭. I need new friends from there! Something so unique about this man. I like the way South Africans still hype him even though he is no more. If all our legends were being hyped like this we will know more of our history (African history) than the white man's history seriously!. He must be smiling from where he is, his people haven't forgotten about him!🙌🏽😊! #gratefulhearts
