RIP Louie, one of the funniest comedians to walk the stage.

“Not bad, but not freezing, but not livable”

That sums up a Minnesota winter perfectly.

I always found it amusing that his Young Louie voice is deeper than his Adult Louie voice.

What the audience doesn’t realize - the genius of Louie Anderson - he is taking them through a group counseling session because so many can relate to what he is saying. He is telling them, ‘we can make it through this together, I’m with you’ with an innate love for others. RIP Louie

My Dad grew up with Louie and his brothers. He was big back then as well, but nobody picked on him cause he was so quick and witty and would get the best of them. He did a show up here a few years back and we went to see him. And he saw my Dad and was like "Hey how you been how's the old gang doing we should get together"....never forgot his roots🙂💯

This man tells the truth. "I love you, Mom, I love you Dad. Forgive your dad he didn't mean it." Between this one and Louie's other story about his family, I'm all teary-eyed right now.

Being from Minnesota, I can tell you that everything he described is 100% accurate. The thawed patch on the windshield, the snow globe effect when you hit a snow bank with your car, the small town bar, the mom saying "Oh my god...". What a great storyteller. I can almost feel and smell the story.

"I forgive you dad, you didn't mean it!" As a dad and a Navy war vet I appreciate it.

I’ve been watching old Louie stand up videos since I heard of his passing yesterday. This one is especially bittersweet. Rest In Peace, Louie. You are loved and will be missed.

Damn, this one hits home, I grew up poor in st Paul with a drunk single father, his funeral was on Monday, I've got a ton of stories like this one haha, wish I had the talent like Louie to share them

My pop was a WW2 vet. I can remember many nights that my dad woke up screaming " incoming..incoming" along with calling his men's names. Yet, i had a perfect and happy childhood. I was infinitely blessed. I married a man from a large family with a horrible father who was never in the military. I could NEVER understand how his kids defended him and mourned at his funeral. I refused to go and be a hypocrite. After listening to his narration of this story and his closing statement...i began to understand a little of my husband's feelings for his dad. Thank you and may you be held in the arms of angels for all the laughter and love you gave to others.
