You literally need two brains to play and sing Edge of Desire this good.

His performance of Edge of Desire is incredible. Non guitarists will not understand how hard it is to sing at the same time as playing something so difficult. But we know, absolute genius. As Clapton said, not even John knows how good he is.

This is generational talent. I hope he is remembered for his phenomenal musical talent.

Call me crazy but id say John has more voice control than ever! He sounds great and it’s a healthy sound. The breathy kind of tone he became famous for has been replaced with a more chesty controlled voice. Always a killer head voice(falsetto) though.

I remember years ago some friends would argue with me when I claimed John Mayer was one of the greatest guitar players ever. Wonder what ever happened to those friends.

No ones gonna mention that version of “Edge of Desire” 🤯 i don’t think people know how hard that is to sing and play lol.

It blows my mind how he can play the edge of desire riff and sing at the same time. Super talented, love him👍

People who disliked this should be tested for Covid. They've lost their taste.

For me, the biggest flex was when he said he hadn't played in a while and proceeded to play something badass while flawlessly singing over it.

I love the moment in “Dear Marie” about 6:12 when John casually stops finger picking, then picks up the flat pick that’s been waiting on his right knee and strums the song into another dimension.

Honest and pure, real music at its finest, the world is definitely a better place for me with you in it John, watching and listening to you reminds me of the kind of magic I saw in my dad when he'd sit and play/work on songs he wrote for hours, like Walt Grace, thanks for this, love your music and your mind John.

The way he smiles during "Dear Marie" :)

JM is one of the best musicians that I've never listened. He has so much groove, and that fantastic sound... No tricks, no autotune, no quantization... Just true art!
