Re the corrosion, is it happening at a fold/seam of the aluminium? Depending on how the bodywork drains and holds water, the seams can be in contact with water during the period of storage. Add British weather and salt and the chance of corrosion is intensified. Once you have a paint correction, you could try protecting the area with an oil. Do this on the other side.

Which make and model of battery did you replace the OEM battery with?

So I currently own a 911 and am looking to buy a pre-owned exotic replacement. I've driven AMG GTS, R35, Audi R8. I really want to own a Mclaren 570s though am worried about engine reliability and cost of maintenance. What's the nicest used sports car for $150k apart from a 570? Thanks for your input!

Your corrosion estimate is quite cheap ? Where are you getting it done ? Did you inquire independently or through McLaren

edit: i mean other than silver i think this is the most beautiful color for 570gt. I plan to buy this in another 3 years when i have the money and the car price is depreciated 😂
