#PureScience How can bats host thousands of viruses and not fall ill?

Bats are known reservoirs of at least 10,000 types of viruses, and have spread some to humans indirectly. And yet, they do not catch the disease these viruses cause. ThePrint’s Sandhya Ramesh takes a look at how bats’ immune systems respond to these viruses and how human activity is the bigger culprit.

You remind me of my school bio teacher. She used to explain everything thoroughly, well researched and with CALM.

Seeing her give me more knowledge about science & calmness..😁 it feels like I am in guided meditation class..😂
But Big fan of hers.
But actually we need such more reporters with no nonsense and to the point attitude who do not end the world on every small problems.

Keep this up Ms. Ramesh & the content writers at Print. Plain facts backed by Science. No histrionics or ear drum splitting decibels. This science series enriches my understanding of the world I live in enormously.

Great work! I am extremely pleased with the background research of Sandhya Ramesh and Shekhar Gupta to have taken the initiative of 'The Print' and covering areas like this; normally, the editors believe that politics is everything.

I am a subscriber of the portal and believe that I did the right thing! Can't we have subtitling in the videos and also back it up some more video/slides?

Thanks!

Dear Shekhar, please re-record the opening statement... 'Subscribe to youtube channal' one. It has a lot of wind in it (no pop filter) and is very discomforting to ears specially on good headphones and good bass speakers.
