Gov. Walz, Democrats spoke on abortion rights outside Republican National Convention

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and other Democrats spoke Wednesday outside the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee about abortion protections. Democrats held a press conference featuring Walz, Congresswoman Veronica Escobar, and reproductive rights advocate Amanda Zurawski to highlight former President Donald Trump and JD Vance's Project 2025 and their plan to ban abortion, as well as "threaten access to IVF and contraception," according to a press release.

This is a great press conference by all, but particularly Amanda. I'm so very sorry Amanda that you had to suffer this scary health crisis, and it's lovely to see you healthy and speaking out for other women. That takes enormous courage, and I think most women, particularly those of us who've been pregnant and given birth, or been pregnant and then have some life threatening crisis, will be with you. I personally shed tears every time I hear of these awful inhumane experiences, and then feel anger, great anger that you had to go through this. I wish you and your husband all the best and hope you conceive and give birth to a healthy baby, and of course safely. You may not realise the great impact your courage will have on all with a heart and conscience. I'm from Australia, and I;m so sorry women in the US are in this hideous position. A woman's health is between her and her doctor, not the misogynists in any parliament around the country. Please take care of you, and all the best for your contribution to this very important election campaign. Let's hope we're smiling on November 6.

Tim Walz signed a bill that allows abortion up until delivery. Simultaneously, he also signed a bill that permits infanticide—allowing a baby who survives an abortion to be left to die. This is nothing short of madness.

we have had John Thompson House of Representatives District 67A fiasco with him living in another state when he should of been living in his district. John Thomson's daughter was pulled over by the police under the influence. And let's not forget about John Thomson's son, who killed 3 women well driving over 100 miles an hour. We also have the Feeding Our Future scandal ripping off the taxpayers $250, 000, 000, and now we have Nicole Mitchell debacle. This all happened under Tim Walz's watch. When are you people going to learn? The Democratic Party is not working in your favor.

The Republican strategy is failing to resonate with me, especially with their habit of labeling everyone as a socialist. The focus on culture wars is misplaced and unimportant to us. The right has been outmaneuvered in Spain, Britain, and France because they persist in stirring up culture wars. This approach is alienating the new generation, who are increasingly disinterested in these conflicts.

I guess that reporter stating what Republican leaders say they’ll do so Biden will be on the ballot doesn’t really know Ohio Republican leaders. I’m sure the voters of Ohio who have chosen Biden/Harris don’t want to risk it. The Democratic Party should go ahead with the roll call vote and then Biden/Harris will definitely be on the Ohio ballot.
