I grew up in a very mixed household filled w/ 3 generations & my WW2 soldier grandfather collected vinyl from all over the world on his tour & brought them tunes to play like EVERYDAY. Inevitably, we are products of our environment, & his music left an indelible mark on my future music choices. When I first heard this song, I fell immediately in love, as many others have. Of course, there are many other Marley songs I love but in this one, hearing the music of the Argentine Tango mixed in w/ reggae is just a beautiful & soulful melding of tunes. Thank you Bob Marley for your INCREDIBLY diverse & eternal gift of music, may you be resting so peacefully.
