A fear of recurrence, (the concern that cancer will come back after treatment) is common among survivors. Whilst having some concerns about a potential recurrence is natural, approximately 50-70% of Canadians living with melanoma have a clinical fear of recurrence that significantly impacts their quality of life. Watch Dr. Rob Rutledge, lead for the Cancer Patient Empowerment Program (PC-PEP) and Cancer PEP (Patient Empowerment Program) and a Radiation Oncologist as he discusses managing a fear of recurrence and ways to lessen anxiety. Many thanks, Doctor, for this video. All the tools are presented to manage this fear from the moment of diagnosis and also at the end of treatment. And in all of life's difficult situations.
