I'm buying the CT6 because it's worth it. The engineering alone sets it apart not to mention the luxury. Finally G.M. is kicking ass world while.

Thanks so much for going into the interesting engineering details of this! Auto-journos drop the ball so hard on this sort of thing. It is appreciated - and the car looks to be quite the creation.

I bought mine in Platinum, with the adaptive rear wheel steering upgrade, so this... car... No kids, Southern Virginia. It's an upgrade from my 2017 2SS Camaro (drop top, proper 6 speed on the floor). The CT6 is in a single word "Stunning".

That chassis is a technological marvel! who would've thought a car this big would that light! And with high quality materials, features & gadgets at that! Hat's off to Travis, Dave & engineers at Cadillac! Bravo… Bravo.
And being a modern Cadillac … handling is outstanding!
I too had high expectations for the CT6 (being the Cadillac fan that I'm) & Cadillac delivered on all fronts… especially in the interior department. The interior design language is much better than previous Cadillacs & I'm very happy that they are keeping the Piano-Black surfaces to a bare minimum! I always hated that in the other Cadillacs … especially the Escalade.
The big seats with the chevron quilting\stitching (glad they didn't follow the trend of diamond quilting) alongside the monochrome Cadillac crest on the fender & the somewhat complex grille inserts (on the Platinum model) are reminiscing of the proper Cadillacs of yore. Wide, Low, Long & with attention to details … Harley Earl would've been proud.
There are few things that bothers me though: That perforated leather area surrounding the screen annoys me… the wood should be extending all the way through. The start button should've been Aluminum. A high end clock would've been nice too. And the interior could use more color\wood combinations … I hope Johan uses his Audi expertise to address that in the future! That interior in proper Maroon, Mustard, Havana brown ..etc would look good! And I hope he drops the Platinum trim for something more sophisticated… Like BMW Individual or Audi Exclusive.
I'd make a one more suggestion for Cadillac, OLED screen & update CUE with black backgrounds … it will fit perfectly with the touch sensitive buttons surrounding it.As for what would I pick for almost 90 grand, That would be the CT6 (though frankly I'd rather wait for the V8) … I already spec'd mine for $71k :)

I live on the island of Oahu all my life and I'm a father of 3 adult kids. For two decades I have owned and driven mini vans (GMC Safari & Toyota Sienna). Planning for the near future and approaching my retirement years. I gotta have LUXURY, performance, and functionality. I love the Cadillac comfort 405hp get up and go power with the rear video system. Meaning when the grand kids come knocking at your front door, I'll be ready with this vehicle. Love the platform Cadillac is heading, not since the DeVille days of roomy interiors. thank you Cadillac and MotoMan for the review.

i love your channel. I'm just getting into the car sales business myself for Cadillac, and training has proven to be a very independent task for me to take on. I'm sure it's the same with many newbies to the business, you just get thrown in the lake and you sink or swim.

Your videos have really become my tutor on just about every car we have on our lot. I try to study everyday, and not only are they highly informative, they are so interesting.

Not only that it brings what seems to be a lot of knowledgeable commenters as well. Who may not realize it are a very useful, ironic at times, resource.

I cannot wait to buy this car! 90 grand is a bargain. It's gorgeous, understated and powerful at almost 9 horses per pound. American luxury is back baby! I live in the wonderful state of Maryland.

8:58 Such well-balanced coverage!

Great show as always. Very good car. As a previous owner of an LS400, to me this has the right 'feel' both interior and exterior while being thoroughly modern and updated. I like the 4wd solution too. Timing chains!

like i said on another CT6 review, its a crazy value, its the size of an s class with the price of a 5 series, but it weighs less than a 5 series all while keeping similar materiel usage in the cabin as well as exterior. some serious leaps forward from shit Cadillacs of 10 years ago.

$90, 000 will easily buy you an S-Class. A slightly used previous model year is an example. If you wanted a W221, you could go 2013 for even less.

Now, you have to remember... shortly before the Daimler-Chrysler merger, Daimler-Benz created the highly modular and aluminum intrusive W220 and it was a technological marvel. The full size LWB model came in at less than 4, 000 lbs (closer to 3, 900) with the airmatic suspension. In 1998, this was amazing.

Standard satellite navigation, radar cruise control (distronic), and everything else patented for the 220 was also amazing. Nothing is more beautiful to me than a pre-midcycle model. That's why I bought one years ago. Now, nearly 20 years after MB pioneered the idea, Cadillac continues to perfect it.

My spouse and I currently own two 2014 BMW 328i sedans and we live in the metro Atlanta area. I honestly love the look of the new CT6. Both are considering upgrading our cars within the year for something more luxurious and spacious. The CT6 is affordable than the German cars we've looked at.

Actually MotomanTV, I WOULD buy that car! I'm currently a CTS owner and have been happy with the results from my 2009 model. Now that is not in the same class as this, hence $90, 000!! Having had the service under Cadillac warranty, I was quite impressed! Well done explanation, and the cutout car is a big help to explain all that weight savings. Without seeing it here, I would be in doubt, but this is one nice ride (and very light too)!
