I’m just making an observation based on a gut feeling, but this badge is somehow tied into cross-progression. Seeing how I play on PlayStation myself and how it's promoting its free-to-play weekend for DBD, I bet once PSN/Xbox and other platforms finish the 2v8 mode, our consoles and accounts will earn this badge or one unique to our console and will then be unlocked and able to equip.

Again, it's just my gut feeling.
