It is surreal to see a mint copy of this set 22 years later. Turaga Nokama contains the second-fewest parts (27) out of the Turaga, only behind Matau (8541). Much like that set and Onewa (8542) in their respective colors, the Toa Mata head (Voodoo face) is exclusive to Nokama in Mata blue, as is the Technic "catch" comprising her neck in medium blue. The Technic 112.5-degree angle elements in that color also appeared in the Bohrok Va (8550/1433) in 2002, but nowhere else after that. The Technic 0-degree angle elements in the same color would have been a similar story if not for them appearing in the Technic Super Battle Droid (8012) in April of '02 and nearly twenty years later appearing in the Monster Jam Megaladon (42134). Nokama is also the only Matoran-size set to have the Toa Mata eye stock in transparent yellow. Her Trident also appeared recolored in the old dark gray in an Alpha Team: Mission Deep Sea set (4795) in 2002, and in a Bionicle "Parts tub" (8713) in 2005. It was also recolored in black for an "Aqua Raiders" set (7773) in 2007 before being phased out completely. Nokama's noble Kanohi Rau could also be obtained in the primary colors of the other Turaga via Mask packs during 2001, and was also recolored in light brown/light flesh for a Metru Matoran (8610) in 2004.
