It was about time these guys made the app start quicker and smoother, and those small transition make for a good experience for every developer. As for the new "tricks" the app can do, they're wonderful ( and .. again .. a lot quicker than before) .

Cool new features, aswell for some slow packages which caused sublime to give me a message which takes me ever longer than the time I lose from slow packages.
Good work Jeff! You're my WEB Guru!

You have an awesome tutorial voice, no idea how you can keep your thoughts and words so organised.

I love how his first wow moment is how fast it opens, he even shows it three times... As a Linux user I forget how impressive that used to be.

yes, that is specified in the blog post: "...Sublime Text 2 plugins will require porting to work with Sublime Text 3, however in most cases the changes will be small."

Seems good! Good work. By the way did you say "sh*t" in 6:11.
BTW still is a awesome IDE.

A good programmer works in everywhere, even a piece of paper.

Yep. It's an artificial majorver cutover (on an otherwise continuous development timeline) designed to generate more revenue. Not that I blame them. The hard bit for me to swallow is at this pace I will end up paying hundreds of dollars in upgrades over the course of a few years in order to one day fully realize the promise of a text editor that has all the basic features I want. There are still some major features that are either half-baked or missing but present in most competing products.

after netbeans, visual studio and jetbrains php storm, I will give this IDE a try :) just because it's implementing my thoughts! and yes especially after implementing the GO TO Definition features

I think the goto definition is pretty useful for front-end devs, at least for me.

There is "go to definition" (gd) in vim. It works only with a single file. But from the video i can see that in ST3 "go to definition" is jumping through out the project directory. You need CTags to get exact feature in vim as well as ST2.

Search 'Sublime Text package control' on Google, open the first website, go to 'Installation', copy all the text in the coded section.

Go to sublime, View -> Show console.
Past that in, press Enter and reboot Sublime when the console said the installation succeded.

After that you just hit Cmd + Shift + P(Ctrl + Shift + P on Windows) and search "Install" or "Package". You'l find the Install Package from the Package Control option, boom you're done :)

Even those Sublime Text 3 isn't an IDE... Intellisense would be a huge bonus for code completion using DocBlock notation :)

It would be nice to know what languages are supported by this feature. I code mainly in C, so Ctags is tickling for me for quite some time :)

Offtopic, but "EloquentDog" may be the best class name ever.
