DO NOT BUY THESE!!!
Turntable Revival has some of the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. They were happy to take my money and leave me waiting weeks without shipping a thing or even having the courtesy to give me an accurate ETA. I emailed multiple times asking for an update and they promised shipping deadlines that they failed to meet and told me to "chill out" when I called them out on their excuses, and then unceremoniously cancelled my order (I'm still waiting to get my money back)
Make them yourself or buy them on Etsy from someone who will at the very least set proper expectations around delivery dates instead of insulting you and holding your money hostage

I just made some of these for my IKEA shelves. Just used leftover cardboard record shippers. They come 13” wide so I folded them into 2 1/2” (deep) by 1/2” (thick) 13” (wide) boxes, packing tape to hold them together. Took about 20 minutes to make 8.

Just stumbled onto this video. Neat idea.
However, I don’t really need my records flush with the front, just all at the same level and don’t want them dropping out the back.
So I just used some wood pieces, flipped up and screwed to the rear of the unit, along the back of all cubes at that level. This provides extra stability to the unit. And then drilled those boards to the studs. Preventing unit collapse.
Learned this from a video by Frank at 33RPM.

What a great business idea. I'm a sign maker by trade (so basically my whole world revolves around some kind of vinyl) Luckily I have scraps of PVC around all the time & always have double faced tape, so I made my own... but I would have bought these if I didn't.

I see you got the standard, I ordered standard but now regretting and thinking if I should have gotten the skinny instead.

Thank you for doing the review. I wonder if they come in white or black to match? You don't think it would increase the opportunity to dent the sleeves when pushed back?

It seems it would be just as easy to get some good quality timber locally and cut it down with a chop saw. I've seen others that use cardboard boxes in the back. The shelves I use aren't as deep, so I don't run into this issue as severely in the first place. Rather than Ikea's shelves (which are about 15.3 inches deep) I use shelves from Menards that are 13 inches deep. I do, however, add a plexiglass force field over the front (a couple strips of matching color Velcro hold it in place) to keep my cat from scratching the record spines.

Love the copy of Foxtrot in your video here! Is that an original pressing?

LOL this is really just a piece of wood stuck to the back of the shelf?

Had these for a few years now, I suggest getting a better one as these can damage the corners of your records and also the double sided tape it comes with sucks. One day ended up falling and my records got all reorganized.. There's better ones on esty that won't damage your records
