Dave Dryden retired Professional hockey player chatting with Reginald Argue

Dave Dryden, retired Professional Hockey Player/former CEO of Sleeping Children Around the World, in July of 2013.

During the conversation, Dave talked about his professional hockey career, where he played from 1962 to 1979 in NHL/WHA. Dave was the first NHL goaltender to wear a modern-day goaltender mask consisting of a fiberglass mask with a cage. Wayne Gretzky scored his first-ever professional goal against Dave Dryden. Dave and his younger brother Ken Dryden are the only brothers in NHL history to play against each other as opposing goaltenders during an NHL game.

Since retiring from professional hockey, Dave became involved with a non-profit foundation his late mother and father founded called "Sleeping Children Around the World." So far, SCAW has helped over 1.3 million children, and all money donated goes directly into buying bed kits for needy children in over 33 nations. Plus, much more. Sadly Dave has passed on.
