Whether you guys like it or not, episode 9 was on of the best episodes ever made. The emotion the viewer watching 3 main characters die is incredible. By far one of my favorite episodes, ever.

I do agree with regard to the feeling that this show could've benefited a lot from additional episodes per season, tho I did watch an interview with the producers where they did say they were planning to shoot season 3 and 4 together since they both originates from the same book, but according to them it is impossible to write. So I guess the difficulty in producing more is not just budget but technicalities like the writing as well?

That's because the last 2 seasons were whole books (Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings). Season 3+4 combined is the third book (A Storm of Swords). I haven't read the books, but from what I've heard book readers say, we're in for one hell of a ride with the show in season 4.

Gorgeous style we had on the ninth. It´s something new we have a story which characters are constructed to be closed to us, beloved and suddenly they are injured or killed, a sort of low realism, sometimes sarcasticly, or only obviously, but never accepted. And it happens always, throughout the seasons ... I wonder, who will survive but the author?

That is what makes the show good, it does not follow the typical scenario of good guys winning and living happy ever after like every other movie or show.

Throughout the series Jon is tormented into making decisions with his heart or doing his duty to the Night's Watch. It's up to you to make the decision whether he's doing right by following his duty or heart. Robb died to hit two birds with one stone. George R.R Martin more than likely wanted to show the hopelessness of the Starks situation and to show that not all revenge/justice stories end well. And also to further develop other characters stories (House Bolton, Frey, Arya etc).

Tywin orchestrated the RW, his theme song was being played right before shit hit the fan, that's why Cat looks up at them as they start playing "The Rains of Castamere" (sp?)

No this episode is the end of season 3, the show has been renewed for season 4 which will come out some time next year

the other big event happens 6-7 POVs in the book after the red wedding. I don't know if they'll show it next episode or maybe first episode of next season.
