For organisms to survive in the wild, the have to be adapted to their environment. These adaptations can be structural, behavioural, and functional, learn how they all work, and how to answer question on it!

Structural adaptations are the physical things we can see about it, such as its shape or colour.

Behavioural adaptation is the way an organism behaves or acts. Two prominent examples of behavioural adaptation in elephants are that they: Flap their ears and spray themselves with water. Both of these help to keep the elephant cool.

Another example of behavioural adaptation would be when swallows migrate to warmer climates to avoid the cold and lack of food.

Functional adaptations are the processes going on inside an organism, like their metabolism or reproductive system.
