MEd in Literacy Education at The Citadel

Our Masters in Literacy Education program has an ESOL focus that prepares educators to have the knowledge, skills, and dispositions required to provide high-quality literacy instruction for today’s diverse learners.
Our program has recently been modified to be 30 credit hours in length, and students can earn both Read to Succeed and ESOL Certification as part of this Masters degree program.

As a student in the program, you will explore topics ranging from building foundational literacy skills to collaborating across print and multimodal spaces. You will gain experience applying strategies for teaching ESOL to PK-12 Learners, and teaching language and literacy across the content areas.
